Annotation
Teamwork is the basis of most of the activities that people perform in companies and their personal lives. In this course, students can try how to solve a technical task in a team, how to cooperate, how to communicate together and how to solve problems such as project delays, how to include external influences in the plan, etc.
Study targets
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the management part of the project and we want them to experience the symbiosis of the professional and management levels of the project on a real project. Students should realize that the management part, for example communication with team members, creating plans and documentation, or presenting results in a reasonable form is not unnecessary bureaucracy but an integral part of the solution.
Course outlines
During the semester, one lecture will be held covering the fundamentals of project management, with an emphasis on conducting meetings with the project supervisor (consultations).
Exercises outlines
The course is conducted in the form of regular consultations with the project supervisor (project sponsor). During individual consultations, the project team:

– presents the current progress of the project,
– evaluates the fulfillment of defined partial tasks and milestones,
– identifies risks and any deviations from the plan,
– updates the schedule and work plan for the next consultation,
– assigns responsibilities among team members,
– documents the decisions made.
