Annotation
The course is focused to metrology fundamentals and uncertainty apparatus. It explains both elementary principles and selected advanced methods used in electronics, telecommunications and radio communications.
Course outlines
1. Metrology - measurement science, general and theoretical measurement aspects, uncertainty apparatus
2. General structure and principles of measurement devices (analog, digital)
3. Signal generators, reference sources, etalons (in general)
4. Linearity in measurements, distortion, distortion
5. Mean and RMS values measurement, peak detection
6. AD converters - principles, sigma-delta, ultra-fast with optical core
7. Dithering, high-resolution multimeter, DA converters principles
8. Time, frequency and phase measurement principles and methodologies, phase synchronization, direct digital synthesis
9. AC and DC voltage and current measurements, power measurements
10. Electrical resistance, capacitance and inductance measurements
11. Magnetic induction and intensity measurements
12. Analog and digital oscilloscope principles, spectrum analyzer and reference receiver principles, real-time spectrum analyzer
13. Automatic measurement system principles, multi-channel measurement, data acquisition (PC)
