Transmission on the Lines - XP32PPV

Credits 4
Semesters Summer

Language of teaching Czech
Extent of teaching 4P + 0C
Annotation
The lectures are focused basically on metallic lines and its application in local and access networks. The optical fiber is more and more frequently used in these areas, but broadband transmission on the metallic lines is still actual and perspective. The base themes in the lectures are line parameters and crosstalk modeling, spectral management and crosstalk cancelation.
Study targets
Students will learn how to calculate transmission quality parameters, model line properties, and estimate the theoretical information capacity.
