Annotation
During this laboratory courses the students are introduced with the practical robotics through solving of practical tasks. Students are working in laboratories in groups which consist of 3 or 4 members. During the semester, each group of students jointly solve one practical problem in the field of robotics. Tasks are designed to introduce students with robotics (manipulators and mobile robots). The students should utilize the basic knowledge obtained in previous study (eg. mathematics, physics, electronics, software development). Students can select specific task from few tasks with different specialization, which are announced each semester. Tasks differs between semesters. An integral part of the solution of the problem is cooperation and communication in the student team.
Study targets
The aim of the course is to teach students procedure of the development of technical solutions in robotics. Students will learn about the development from an assignment through the specification, solution design, implementation and testing, till to defense of solutions. The aim is also to practice the ability to prepare appropriate documentation and present the reached results. An important aim is also to teach students the basic principles of teamwork assigning responsibilities, assigning roles and communication.
Exercises outlines
1 - 2 Introduction, occupational safety, selection of tasks
3 - 12 Individual work, consultations. The inspection day in week 7.
13. Presentation of results and defense of results - credits
Literature
Teacher recommends study materials in accordance to the solved task. The main study materilas are usually represented by journal article, which is the basis for solving of the task and other relevant publications which are in ČVUT library.
Requirements
Basic knowledge of programming, mathematics (linear algebra, analysis) and physics in a range of subjects accredited program KYR Bachelor of the corresponding semester. The ability of study of scientific texts.
