Anotace
Závěrečná zkouška v modulu Angličtiny, která odpovídá certifikované mezinárodní zkoušce; student se známkou A nebo B získá potvrzení o dosažení úrovně B2 SERR, jež potřebuje pro výjezd na zahraniční stáž.

B2 Common European Framework:
Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
Grammar and Vocabulary:
word families, verb-noun collocations, complex noun phrases, countable and uncountable nouns, prefixes, it-clauses, reporting verbs, questions, modal verbs, conjunctions and sentence connectors, articles, prepositions, wh-noun clauses, relative clauses, if-clauses, passive voice, past perfect, -ing nouns
Listening:
picking up information, transferring information
Reading:
A technical text is presented. Students are required to show understanding of the concept and vocabulary.
Writing:
Emphasis is put on the expression of ideas in the independent writing of paragraphs and short texts. Students should be able to present a short basic description in written English.
The written exam is made up of materials directly from, and based on, the grammar, vocabulary, themes / topics, etc. found in the course materials as well as any technical texts and other materials listed for the preparation courses on the department's website: http://feld.jazyky.cvut.cz
The exam has a similar format to that of the Cambridge FCE exam / IELTS, and students will be assessed on their abilities in the following skills:
Listening (types of tasks: comprehension questions - multiple choice) .Reading (types of tasks: gapfil - multiple choice - comprehension questions) .Grammar & Vocabulary (types of tasks: gapfil - multiple choice - comprehension questions) .Writing (types of tasks: sentence revision / free writing [academic text])
