Vážení studenti předmětu Optimální a robustní řízení // Dear students of the Optimal and Robust Control Course [ENGLISH BELOW],

[ENGLISH VERSION]
in the currently starting course, I will serve you as a guide in your learning of methods of optimal and robust control. Although just a few days remain till the lecture (on Wednesday, February 21, 2023, at 11:00, KN:E-107 room), I am taking this liberty to contact you now. Some of you may already guess the reason – I would like to run this course (or at least some parts) in a flipped learning format. You may find more about this format on the course webpage: https://moodle.fel.cvut.cz/mod/page/view.php?id=302846. The immediate impact on you is that there are a few video-lectures that I would like to to find some time to watch before our Wednesday meeting. I linked them from this week's block on the course web page: https://moodle.fel.cvut.cz/course/view.php?id=8443#sectionid-72773-title. You may find some guidance for watching the videos in the explicitly enumerated learning goals – these are the competences that you should be able to acquire (at least partly) by watching the videos. Whether or not you succeeded you will learn by taking the online quiz. You are expected to complete it before the beginning of the "lecture" on Wednesday.Since the semester has just started and you did not have more time to schedule your workload (adjusting to the arrangements that I just described) better, the requirement of completing the quiz before the lecture will not be strict (starting next week it will be strict). Anyway, do your best to complete it. After all, most of the material you have already encountered somewhere else, I guess. It will make our meetings on Wednesday (both the lecture and the exercise) more efficient.
I am looking forward to interacting with you in the upcoming weeks.
